Hi folks,I’ve been feeling pretty disappointed with my current bank lately — way too many hidden fees and not much in terms of personal service. So I’m seriously thinking about switching things up and moving to a credit union instead.
What I’m looking for is a place that not only provides the usual banking services — like mortgages, savings, and business support — but also has a sense of community, where you feel like more than just an account number. Preferably somewhere in Ontario, or even better — Hamilton area.
Anyone here had a really good experience with a credit union in Canada and would recommend one?
Absolutely — I’d recommend checking out this credit union in Hamilton. It’s BCU Financial, also known as Buduchnist Credit Union, and they’ve been around for years serving the Ukrainian-Canadian community. But they welcome everyone, and their services are top-notch.
I’ve personally been a member for quite a while now, and what stands out is how approachable and helpful the staff is. Whether you’re opening a personal account, exploring mortgage options, or setting up business banking, they make everything smooth and easy.
BCU is one of the biggest Ukrainian credit unions in Canada, and their commitment to helping people — not just managing money — really shows. I wouldn’t bank anywhere else!
