Finding healthy recipes that are also tasty can sometimes be a challenge. After being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2019, I found this to be especially true after having to give up a lot of common tasty food groups like gluten, dairy, and refined sugar.
Thankfully, over the last year, I've been able to track down some delicious recipes that I'm going to share with you below. And since breakfast foods are by far my favorite, I was determined to find recipes that brought me back to that warm and familiar place in the mornings.
Paleo Almond Flour Pancakes/Waffles
Now, I have made some personal adjustments to this recipe that I think make it better, but if you'd the original, you can find it here. The original recipe is a pancake recipe, but this works very well for waffles as well! I like to add blueberries or sometimes (unsweetened) chocolate chips into the batter. Then I top with more blueberries or banana slices, walnuts, and finish it off by drizzling Dash Apiary® Raw Honey to reach your desired sweetness. Enjoy!
